Small subscription list "To the ladies of Bennington" requesting subscription to make socks and gloves for soldiers serving in the Northern Army with signatures of women beneath. Letter of recommendation from David Fay regarding Lieutenant Ebenezer Gray; several letters regarding account of enlisted men and regarding muster and payrolls. Ledger labeled "Orderly Book / Rutland May 8 1814" and recording orders for the 11th Vermont Regiment through June 8, 1814. Also an undated, unsigned document giving a legal opinion on the embargo of all British ships, appears to be a draft.
