Scope & Content Newspaper clipping from the Buffalo Courier on February 16, 1848. The article reads "The body of Col. Martin Scott, which arrived in Boston, a few days since, from Mexico, was taken in charge on Thursday, by his nephew, M. K. Scott, Esq., and conveyed to Bennington, Vermont, the residence of the latter gentleman. Col. Scott was killed at the battle of Molino del Rey. His lady is still in Milwaukee."
