Dates of Creation 1807-1884
Scope & Content Includes eleven items the bulk of which from 1873-1884. The earliest is a handbill advertisement for a saddling business in Bennington, Vermont. Other material includes a list of duties imposed on imports by the U.S. government, a wanted poster for robbery suspects, a notice to look for a lost girl, an announcement of a new newspaper in Springfield, Vermont, an extra edition of the Banner on the H.E. Bradford & Co. explosion in 1874, two requests for workers for railroad construction, and a warning for Republican nominees to carefully check their tickets.
Administrative/Biographical History A collection f small printed notices meant to be distributed by hand (handbills) or larger sheets printed on one or both sides, sometimes folded (broadside).
