Scope & Content Letter from Amos LaCroix to his mother Elzire LaCroix dated January 25, 1918 at Fort Constitution, New Hampshire. LaCroix writes of various news regarding army life including inoculations, the food, and insurance. Joking about the latter that he now knows he is worth more dead than alive. Ends by discussing chasing prisoners which includes putting prisoners to work and their punishment should they attempt to flee. Also included is the envelope addressed to his mother.
