Scope & Content Forty-six page letter regaring Perkins experience with the appointment of Bishop Hopkins in the diocese of Vermont and the conflict between the low church and high church members.
Administrative/Biographical History The Reverend Perkins was charged with "violation of he canons and rubrics of the Church" and tried in a church tribunal. He was found innocent of some and gulity on other charges. He was required to sign a letter to "profess his regret" before returning to church work. One of his violations may have ben failing to follow the precise order and wording of the proscribed service.
