Two page handwritten history of the "Mt. Anthony Seminary". Provides a basic history of the Seminary and main individuals involved in its creation. Explains the history of the rivailry between the Old Academy and the Mt. Anthony Seminary. At the end of the second page in pencil, is written "H.C. Ridlow wrote this upon request of Mrs. Moses".
Also included is the the Mt. Anthony Journal which served as the Seminary's newspaper. Dated March 1877, Volume 1, No. 2, shows sketch of Mt. Anthony Seminary, A Board School for Both Sexes, At Bennington Center, Vermont. (now Old Bennington, Vermont.) Article on the front page by Snow and Yates, Publishers and Editors, An Independent Paper, "The Inn at Rouelle". Inside pages contain various notices, general news and advertisements. The back page is all advertisements.
Lastly an envelope written on in pencil - "Mt. Anthony Seminary Paper." Lower left corner - "From Mrs. Cora McDevitt Wilson - $.50"
