Art gravure Picture section of "The Knickerbocker Press." Dated September 28, 1930. Shows picture of the pageant at the opening of the Ethan Allen Highway between Williamstown, Massachusetts and Manchester, Vermont on September 20, 1930. The section shows the opening of the highway, the greeting of the Massachusetts Commissioner of Highways with Vermont Governor John E. Weeks, and a number of historical outfits worn by local Vermonters in the historical pageant.
Other sections include the golf club at Glens Falls, New York, the Altamont Fairgrounds, and a historical antique show and beauty pageant put on by the Columbia County Historical Society at Kinderhook, New York.
