Description Sepia tone postcard published by E.T. Griswold. Site of Home of Col. Seth Warner. 1765 to 1784. Bennington, Vt. No. 5. Caption on back, Immediately South of the house in the foreground stood the home of Col. Seth Warner, during the troublous times of the Revolution. / Warner was the intrepid commander of the famous Green Mountain Boys and figured largely in the signal victory over the British at the Battle of Bennington, his men saving the day for the Americans during the second engagement. He participated in eighteen engagements during his military career and was one of the five founders of the State of Vermont." One of a series of 100 postcards published by Griswold.
