Description Norton stoneware cooler or crock. Marked in blue, "J & E NORTON, BENNINGTON VT." Three gallon size. Four rows of horizontal parallel lines on the top and bottom. Barrel shaped. Cobalt blue decorations of reclining deer on front under stamp, soaring eagle on back, spotted lion on one side, and a house and trees on other side. Small hole at the bottom front with glazed blue ring around it. Inside is brown slip glaze.
