Information |
In 1893 Cassius A. White invented the mop wringer in Jamaica, Vermont. He had previously manufactured butter tubs and sap buckets, but had an inventive streak that led him to patent washing machines and automatic check hook for horses. His teenage son, who was responsible for mopping their home, particularly urged him to invent a mop wringer. He partnered with O.N. Wardwell and Frank S. Porter and the business steadily grew. After White's death in 1901 his sons Hubert and Julius continued to be involved with the business and in 1904 the company moved to Fultonville, New York. |
