Very flowery and gracious note addressed to Miss Ellen Peck from Mr. W. Wadsworth Dowd. Dowd is writing to ask Peck if she would like to go on a drive with him following school if the weather permits it. If it does rain he proposes they go to his father's residence. He adds that his note paper is lacking its gilding but it is able to be written on and that it appears as if the rain will lessen by nightfall. If he does not hear from her he will presume she is going. No date on the letter but the cancellation is likely for February 1907. Peck's address is West Meriden, Connecticut. |
