Photocopy of a personal letter written by F. Borden Mace to George "Jugs" Herlihy from the home of Colonel and Mrs. James D. Johnson between December 2000 and January 20, 2001. Mace explains he is trying to give a few Navy and Marine Corps officers and men proper recognition for their roles by investigating the role aerial photography played in World War II. He is particularly interested in Captain Robert Quackenbush and the Cactus Air Force. |
