Two copies of the manuscript newsletter, "Bennington Sentinel" including the April 11, 1851 Vol. 1 no. 2 issue and the April 18, 1851 Vol 1. no 3 issue. The former contains a statement from the editors A. E. Payne and H. E. Kellogg that the paper will uphold Jeffersonian- Democrat ideals. The second issue contains articles on the Fugitive Slave Law, The World's Fair, and the Troy and Rutland Railroad. Both contain a number of local advertisements. |
