Administrative/Biographical History |
The Granville Academy was located at Granville, New York; Black River Literary and Religious Institute, chartered by the Legislature in 1835 in Ludlow, Vermont. Captain Partridge was born in Norwich, Vermont in 1785 and taught mathematics and engineering at West Point. He was well known for his work in training "citizen soldiers" and founding several military schools. Erastus Fairbaks was a member of the Board of Trustees of Phillips Academy, Danville, Vermont. |
