Papers related to the estate of Calvin Norton including a list of claims against the estate and the foreclosure and sale of the Stark House estate to Samuel Hinman Brown from Asaph P. Childs executor of the estate. Also included in the collection are documents related to the legal case which preceded the sale. (1-30) Also included are a number of receipts and issued. Many are between Samuel Brown and Daniel P. Brown. In addition to some of Samuel H. Brown's business records, legal documents, and correspondence. A copy of A Discourse delivered by P.H. Fowler at the First Presbyterian Church, Utica, New York in 1861. Notice of the Gainesville, Jefferson, and Southern Railroad of their first issue of bonds in 1883. With the recommendation of John F. Zebley and Co. (31-67) Older deeds related to Samuel Brown through Daniel Hinman. Also included are various business records(68-83) The remainder of the collection mainly consists of some deeds and a mixture of business and personal correspondence. |
