Copy of General Robinson's charges against Mr. Ballard, May 11, 1831, numbers 1, 2, and 3 include the confession Robinson thinks Ballard should make, the confession Ballard is willing to make, and the compromise that Church leaders have created between the two. Signed by several notable names (David Robinson, Martin Norton, Aaron Robinson, Elijah Norton, and others), Ballard's answer to charges. Robinson's chief complaint is that Ballard has been allowed to join the Church, despite the outstanding charges against him, which Robinson does not feel were properly dealt with by the Church. |
