Small, leather bound cookbook that belonged to Mrs. Ruth Fay, with her name inscribed inside front cover. "Cookbook" written in black ink on front cover. 39 pages of recipes in like hand. Many of recipes are for desserts including cookies, waterford cake, boiled pudding, and butter biscuits. Other recipes include wine, pickled onions, and veal sausage. Many recipes call for "SalEratus" which is Sodium or potassium bicarbonate used as a leavening agent; baking soda. |
