Business papers and records related to Henry W. Putnam Sr. of Bennington, Vermont. The collections includes a list of patents owned by Putnam, various bill heads and advertising cards, a price list for the Double Tack Company, and bills from Putnam to Edward Hamlin Everett as the travelling agent for the Putnam Company. In addition, there is an advertisement for the Lightening Bottle Stopper with handwritten prices for New York dated March 1, 1878. The collection also includes letters written by Putnam. Two letters are addressed to William Root referring to both personal and business matters, a letter from Root to Putnam with Putnam's response on the bottom regarding Bradford and Sons, and a printed letter to the public from Putnam informing them of his purchase of the Putnam Manufacturing Company. |
