Memorandum of agreement from Jason H. Archer to Arad Gilbert and unspecified other persons, providing Gilbert a lease of one year to the property of the United States Pottery Company. In addition, Archer sells the manufactured wares, clays, coal, wood, and anything purchased for the production of wares. Gilbert also received the account books for the purpose of collecting any sums due from creditors. With the sum of twenty thousand dollars allocated to pay those who have brought suit against the United States Pottery. Lastly, Gilbert must agree to keep the Pottery open for a period of at least one year. Dated June 17, 1858. |
