Group of documents related to the Robinson family of Bennington, Vermont. Includes letters and papers related to David Robinson, David Robinson Jr., David Baker Robinson and John S. Robinson. Papers related to the former includes a letter from Dr. F. R. P. Williams regarding the sale of his house, a letter from his niece Hannah Walkerson following the death of Robinson's second wife Eunice Dickinson Robinson, part of writ attaching the goods of Gideon Brownson of Sunderland, a resolution to lodge the deed in the hands of Solomon Safford, an 1811 receipt from John Wilson, and documents related to the anniversary of the Battle of Bennington. A letter from Josiah Wright regarding the collection against Jay Ballard and John Vail was sent to David Robinson Jr. There is also included in the group a letter sent to John S. Robinson in 1859. Lastly, there is a letter of recommendation from Jonas Hewitt regarding the work performed by D. B. Robinson while working for the Troy and New York Steam Boat Company. |
