The collection includes thirteen pay envelopes for C. Forrest, a carder at the Holden Leonard Mill. Scattered January 23-September 6, 1931. Earns between $40-$80/week with $10 taken our for Savings and Loan. Also included is the auction catalog for the liquidation of the Holden-Leonard Mill, August 22-23, 1939, fold out map pasted into the back cover. The catalog in addition to listing the individual items to be sold also contains a few photographs of the mill and some of the equipment. A description of the real estate and the benefits offered to potential buyers is also included. |
