Documents signed by Samuel B. Young during the War of 1812. They include two orders given by Young to John Barns Jr. of Pittsford, Vermont. The first on January 30, 1813 and the second on February 1, 1813 to deliver arms to Brigadier General Timothy F. Chipman. The second set of orders is for Moses Sage Jr. and Samuel Loomis both of Bennington, Vermont on February 6, 1813 to deliver arms to Bradford, Vermont and Brigadier General Micah Barron. The last document is a Commissary Report to the Captain General regarding money in the Treasury only allowing for a small appropriation for the year. |
