Group of papers related to the Vermont militia. Orders include a copy of a letter sent by Colonel James Thomas to Samuel B. Young on September 27, 1813 acknowledging Young's orders are being followed and orders sent to Colonel David Robinson from Brigadier General C. Roberts regarding a meeting in Pawlet on the formation of a new Regiment on August 6, 1807. The group also includes two letters with one being an unsigned letter to the Captain General of Vermont regarding the purchase and supply of arms to the various armed forces in Vermont and an 1803 return of men and goods from Captain Ezra Morgan's company in Pownal, Vermont. |
