The patent includes the description submitted sworn by Simmons on December 31, 1892 which includes a description of his invention, the claims he is making, and a diagram of the invention. The boiler was intended to heat buildings by sending steam throughout a system of pipes while keeping the pressure in the boiler at a constant. The boiler was meant to reduce the need for an attendant as well. |
