About 20 Letters addressed to Elijah Dewey while he was in California, 1855-1857. Most from his father Jedidiah, one from his uncle Stephen Bingham. Most discuss money matters, and Jedidiah's concern for his son's well being. Also one account for Sophie’s account with J.C. Haswell and letter from her father (?) Dr. C.S. Haswell.
