Letter on two folded pages, five leaves written on. Dated, "Near Boonsville, MD", July 11, 1863. Written to Carrie from Riah. He writes of his presence at the Battle of Gettysburg, other Vermont soldiers, and his activity as a soldier. Expects to be home for August 16 (Bennington Battle Day) and looks forward to picnics and trout suppers. |
