Two letters addressed to David Robinson Jr. of Bennington, Vermont. The first was sent by Leonard Woods from Andover on July 16, 1838. Woods writes of the pleasure he takes from Robinson's comments regarding the works he has published. He writes further of sending a copy of letters he has received and to return it via Mr. Hooker when he comes to Andover. Woods ends with a comment on Robinson's spiritual affairs. The second letter is from C. B. Harrington from Middletown, Vermont. Harrington writes regarding his strong opinion that General Jonas Clark should be the Democratic nominee for Governor of Vermont in the 1846 election. However, Harrington states, that despite the numerous reasons for his nomination, Rutland County would not want to impose their candidate on the convention. |
