Scope & Content |
Bertha Lambert's penmanship drills, 1923. Each of the many pages were reviewed with criticism applied with a stamp. For example: one of the sheets is stamped Nov. 20, 1923, No. 2979, Drills 14, 15 and 16, all on one side of the lined tablet paper, bears the following stamp - these are all "m's". "Use over motion in parts of the m and m, use under motion on all connected lines." This is demonstrated in red ink. In the middle section of the paper, the stamped criticism reads: The motion should recede the contact of pen with paper." The criticism for Drill 16 reads, "Use more speed. Study method for speed requirement." The "Q", "U", "V" and "W", were apparently satisfactory since there are no comments. |
