Documents related to the Peru Turnpike Company. Included in the collection is one share of the Peru Turnpike Road of Vermont for Joseph Stickney signed in Chester on September 12, 1815. Share signed by both the President of the Company Aaron Leland and the Director and Treasurer Joseph Burr. On the back Burr has recorded multiple notices acknowledging he has received payment. Also included is part of the Deed. However, only some numeric notations are made. Lastly, a postcard showing the rates for the road of which the last one is a handwritten Automobiles. Also includes a notice from the Peru Turnpike Company that is too small to make out. |
