Ten letters: One 1795 from Benjamin to David Robinson Jr. while student at Williams College; eight letters from Benjamin to his uncle Colonel, later General, David Robinson between 1801-1816; one 1804 Letter of Credential regarding his skill as a doctor so that he might practice medicine in the southern states. One letter to O. C. Merrill dated 1818. The letters to Colonel Robinson trace the relationship with his wife Ruthy (nee Ruth Robinson), the colonel's daughter and Benjamin's first cousin, from first love to her death in 1806.
