Information |
Moses Robinson of Bennington was first Chief Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court and served in that position from 1777 until 1789, when he was elected Governor. This copy of the 1787 Vermont statutes has his signature on the front flyleaf of the book "Moses Robinson’s Book" and the date December 7th, 1787. It is a larger size than the rest of the volumes that were printed for that edition, and appears to have been a presentation copy made specifically for him. |
