Sepia photograph of the Catamount Tavern. Rectangular image with rounded corners, mounted on card. Two men standing by gate in fence in front of building, third seated between them. Written on reverse in ink: "Very rare photograph of the Catamount Tavern some years before the fire that destroyed the building - 1870. Only the portion [illeg.] south front constituted the tavern. The other part (?) was added by Judge David Fay at the time of his marriage in 1765." |
