Black and white photograph of a Bennington College music ensemble comprised of faculty members and students. Professor Lionel Nowak is second from left at the grand piano. Behind Nowak is a woman with dark hair wearing glasses, probably waiting to turn pages of his music. Balding man with glasses on left singing, wearing tweed suit. Sitting in the center in a white shirt is possibly George Finckel also a professor at the college, playing a cello. Woman with dark hair, wearing sweater and black skirt playing the violin is seated next to him. On the far right, a man in suit with curly hair and glasses plays the clarine. Flutist almost hidden behind conductor, possibly a student. Conductor with baton on right. He has long curly dark hair and a beard. He wears a jacket and dark pants. Violin and bow are on a small table next to a stool in foregropund. Photo taken from somewhat above the group. |
