Information |
The Second Congregational Church was built in 1873 on the corner of East Main and School Streets. The spire was almost completed in May of 1874 when it fell during a violent storm, crashing through the roof of the house next door. It was reconstructed, but removed in 1931 after years of tilting precariously. |
