Albumen print fixed to cardboard support of Putnam Hotel from the Northeast with a portion of the centennial arch in the foreground. The arch was erected in 1877 to celebrate the centennial of the Battle of Bennington. Label on back of support reads "Bennington, VT. / For William Cook / Bennington/No. 67 / Published by / C. [Calvin] Dart, Bennington, VT." Pencil inscription reads "Putnam House." |
