This photograph appeared in the "Bennington Banner" newspaper April 2, 1960. Caption, "Plastic tubing and spouts have removed much labor from sugar maker's operations. County Agent John C. Page (left) examines part of tubing connecting 925 taps at Edwin White's Pownal bush. White (right) draws sap into storage tanks near the sugar house without needing to leave the boiling operation. Lines are colored black and white to hasten thawing after freeze." |
