Black and white photograph of the southwest corner of the Village Cemetery on Main Street, Bennington, Vermont (identified on back, probably by Ruth Levin) in the right background is Union Street going south from Main Street before turning west. Corner plot surrounded by ornamental cast iron fence stone base. Large obilisk shaped monument with inscriptions on the side for children of J.E. and M. D. Pratt "Alice Maria," "Mary Isabell" and "Mabel" at the bottom. Four small individual stones are in the ground for Alice and Isabel on right . Outside the fence, on the Union Street side, are the partially fenced-in front yard of a house with a garage and above ground pool. The roof of another house can be seen. Multi-family homes are on the west side of Union Street. |
