Description |
Mounted sepia tone photo of house on River Street in Bennington. Sign on top of the wooden-frame building that reads, "A. Drysdale & Son." Two young girls standing on the porch to the right side of the photo, underneath an awning. Horse and carriage in front of the building with a man sitting in the back. Another horse and carriage is parked in front of that one. Dirt road runs through the foreground, rocks in front of the wood steps that lead up to the house. Windows are two over two sash and there are bare deciduous trees surrounding the building. Note on back states: "House (left) was home of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Hawks after their marriage in 1859." |
