Information |
On November 7, 1959 the Bennington Banner published a full page "Bannercamera" article with photographs by staff photographer Jon Allen about the Hale Company in Arlington, Vermont. This one appeared with the caption, "Bending chair backs takes high pressure and a steam bath beforehand. Frank Labadie of the Hale Co., holds a piece of maple which had been bent into shape, as another section is forced down on the press. Chairs, tables, and cabinets produced by the 100-year-old company total an annual production of two million dollars." |
