Quilt. Lone Star Pattern. Red and white patchwork blocks. Original quilt was trimmed and red bias tape was later machine sewn around the edges. Blocks hand-stitched. Belonged to donor's grandmother, Fanny Abbott Blackmer Meagher. Possibly hand-made by Sylvia Squires Blackmer, wife of Samuel H. Blackmer. |
