Description |
Fragment of wood from the mantelpiece of the Catamount Tavern, obtained at the time of the destruction of the building. Stained with a dark brown or black stain. Smooth. On the back side, there is a white substance, probably paper of some kind that is glued to the wood. At one time it was removed from the paper, leaving the ripped paper permanetly glued to the wood. |
