Part of a collection of drawings by John Atherton. Sketch of a Christmas scene for the United States Navy. Black ink drawing on card shows Santa driving a jeep with a sack labeled "U.S. Navy" in the back towards a lighthouse. With holly on bottom corners and top center. Translucent overleaf has coloring for image. Pencil note on overleaf: "Dear Harriette - I think if the color is put on in a stencil style and not up to the line it will help and keep it open. Just blocks of color." |
