Shawl or tablecloth, one piece construction, 1800s. All wool, white twill weave ground with all over pattern in overshot blue, red, pink and orange wools of very round "teardrop" Paisleys, floral borders. Narrow multicolored selvedge borders. Two fringed ends. Random stitches in two corners. Belonged to the William Morris Hunt Family. |
