Renaissance Revival sofa. Part of a set which was placed in the Bradford house when it was new in 1861. Decorated with incised gold lines, panels of figured veneer and applied moldings characteristic of this syle. Delicate open work on the back, filigree mahogany rosette on the arms. Has been reupholstered in gold and gray green damask but finish is original and nearly perfect. |
