Description |
One of 14 Spent bullets picked up at Gettysburg by E. C. Tuttle of Rutland. Considering the number of combatants and the 3 days of fighting, it is probably that at least 100 tons of bullets were fired. Of the 14 total bullets, 12 of them are light grey in color. The other two are a darker color, almost black. Ten have the same pointed tip and oval bodies. Four have been broken either on top or the sides. All show years of wear. |
