Claire Van Vliet, who founded the Janus Press in California in 1955, before moving permanently to northern Vermont in 1966, is one of the country’s leading printmakers and producers of limited edition artists’ books and broadsides. This broadside was created by Van Vliet from colored paper pulp and printed by her Janus Press with a poem by Pulitzer Prize winner and Vermont poet laureate Galway Kinnell. |
