Information |
In 1964 the magazine Art in America sponsored a program that had some of America’s most renowned contemporary artists produce limited edition ceramic objects. David Gil served as the technical advisor for this project, and many of the artists, including Helen Frankenthaler and Leonard Baskin, worked closely with him. The vase by Baskin was a truly collaborative effort: it was thrown by Gil, and then the sculpted Satyr mask was applied by Baskin. |
